Richard Branson Koala Conservancy

The Richard Branson Koala Conservancy on Makepeace Island is committed to funding koala research as part of a 5-year grants program. The program will focus on mitigating koala mortality, with emphasis on koala health, as well as investigating areas within the Noosa region, including Noosa North Shore, for its suitability as long-term koala refugia. Makepeace Island will serve as a base for the program.
